Camp Fun, All Year Round!
Camp Jewell YMCA was designed as a year round facility and each year hosts thousands of Girl Scouts, Youth Group, and Adventure Guide participants. We provide a variety of recreational, educational, and adventure based programs to meet your needs all while having a healthy dose of fun. Our programs help build self-esteem, and leadership all within the framework of quality time together with friends.
We are proud to have long standing partnerships with many YMCA Adventure Guide programs as well as Girl Scout troops from New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts that take advantage of the different programs we have each season. Summer, Spring and Fall activities include horseback riding, hay rides, swimming, arts and crafts, archery, mountain boarding, rock climbing, kayaking, pottery, guitar, high ropes, hiking, fishing, soccer and many more! Winter activities include snow tubing, ice skating, snowshoeing, ice fishing, ice golf, broomball, cross-country skiing, candle making, arts & crafts, bbs, archery and other fun indoor programs. We even have our own snowmaking system! Camp Jewell YMCA is also home to two outdoor climbing walls. Mount Wood is located on main camp, while our larger climbing wall, Mount Meggido, is over 45 feet tall and can be found at Hide-A-Way Ranch.
