We understand that for some families a 2 week session does not meet their needs. As such we have a limited number of one week sessions each summer that are geared towards first time campers ages 7-11 (12 for Ranch).

There are some differences between our one and two weeks programs. In our A week (first week) sessions campers will be able to enjoy our full camp opening camp fire, spirit fest, and several village and evening programs. In our B week (second week) sessions campers will be able to participate in our closing campfire, ice cream social, as well as several village and all camp evening programs too.

Our staff are trained to ensured your camper, regardless of the length of stay will have an amazing experience. You can also add a one week session to the beginning or end of a 2 week session if you are looking for a longer experience.

Activities

Camp is full of outdoor activities like campfires, hikes, skits and songs, outdoor activities. Every camper gets the chance to sleep under the stars after cooking their own dinner over an open fire. Over the course of the week, campers disconnect from the technology and distractions of outside life. At camp, our number one priority is providing a safe, positive camper experience. We believe that campers are most successful when given the opportunity to push themselves out of their comfort zones and discover in themselves resiliency, responsibility and confidence. In order to create a small community feeling, camp is divided into villages by age group.

Our youngest campers

We start with our 7-9 year olds in Bandit Village. Here we have one staff member for every three campers and a schedule that focuses on an introduction to overnight camp. As a result you may well find  that your child will be asking to stay at camp when it comes time to leave.

Small communities make a camp

Our Argonaut and Nit Nois village are for campers ages 10-11 and offer a wider selection of activities.

Regardless of your child’s age, our counselors focus on each individual camper. This ensures a great experience whether your child is a first-time or returning camper.

For over 100 years, Camp Jewell has provided an experience that has built memories and friendships that last a lifetime. We have over 500 acres of woodlands, amazing facilities and new adventures each day. It’s why 99.9% of our campers say they made new friends while at camp. This is why so many campers choose to return year after year.

We hope to see you at camp this summer!
